We are looking for a talented Workflow coordinator to join our team specializing in engineering for our power systems business segment in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Workflow Coordinator

  • Supports the product requirements and product change management processes in order to ensure that specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards and software) are clear, concise and valid across the organization.

  • Works under moderate supervision.

  • Analyzes and processes the data into appropriate engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and services systems.

  • Releases and/or maintains the Cummins product specification documents (e.g. drawing, structure, standards, and software).

  • Provides input into the development of product requirements and other relevant standards and rules for documenting Cummins products specifications, including engineering, marketing, services, and manufacturing processes.

  • Applies Product Release standards for auditing purposes and ensures clear, concise, and valid product requirements through the change management process.

  • Participates in- and executes the product specification change management process in order to ensure compliance.

  • Participates in basic improvement projects linked to the product requirements and related change management processes.

  • Product Configuration and Change Management - Establishes a baseline of identified product artifacts to be placed under configuration management; releases, tracks, controls and communicates changes from concept to obsolescence often through work requests; establishes and maintains the integrity of the product artifact baselines.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience in documentation and control, engineering discipline or related field.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Initiating MCN workflow in Oracle ERP for Fridley and SLP (San Luis Potosi, Mex) plant orgs

  • Implementing MCN in Oracle ERP for Fridley and SLP plant orgs

  • Fixing customer order BOM errors (Configured products, i.e. star items) through Oracle ECO process for Fridley and SLP

  • Controller software part categorization (DES process) and setup in Oracle ERP (Global responsibility)

  • Powergen's Project Number data management in CMI Windchill and Oracle ERP applications (Global responsibility)

  • Investigate and resolve MCN/ECO workflow errors

  • Development and maintenance of procedures and work instructions related to above processes

As most of these responsibilities involve close working with Fridley and SLP plant people, the person needs to available during Fridley/SLP working hours and occasionally has to be physically present in plant for attending in-person meetings and workshops.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay range for this position is $25.27 – 28.08. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
