Responsibilities

  • Work as a business partner for sales leaders

  • Perform month end journal entry activity of the North America power generation markets

  • Month end entries would include revenue related entries, performing cost correction entries, warranty accruals, accruals for rebate programs, revenue recognition items and expense corrections

  • Work with sales teams, business planning teams and order management teams to understand and obtain the forecast

  • Submitting monthly actuals and forecast to the global consolidation team and review roll up and issue monthly expense reports with variance explanations to sales leaders

  • Respond to questions related to actuals vs Forecast, prior months and plan

  • Create the LOB annual operation plan for North America power generation markets which include revenues, margins and expenses

  • Perform product level margin analysis

  • Work with cost accounting team and plant accounting team to understand product cost variances

  • Work with the general accounting team to understand revenue recognition entries and warranty adjustments

  • Adhoc reporting requests and analysis

  • Create and present business results at staff meetings

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.

  • Progress toward Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.

Experience

  • Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate withexperience.
