Description

Cummins Pacific is looking for a Shipping and Receiving person to receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from the stockroom, warehouse or storage yard; pull orders and get packages ready for delivery; and to pick up and deliver items,

such as engines, generators and parts.

Some tasks include:

  • Receive orders and pull items from shelves and pack customer orders for shipping by correctly completing pick tickets.

  • Maintain inventory; receive and count stock items.

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse or storage yards.

  • Manage and order packaging materials.

  • Receive orders and parts from vendors and other branches. Inspect shipments to note damage or any problem with items.

  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool room, supply rooms, or other areas making sure that safety standards are always met.

  • Record inventory data manually or using computer.

  • Perform housekeeping duties: sweeping, cleaning and straightening shelves; keeping aisles clear.

  • Pull orders to be delivered that day; include inventory, proper packaging, making sure invoice is correct.

  • Assist other departments with special projects, such as moving and lifting boxes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • At least one year of related experience, including verifiable driving experience

  • Forklift certification preferred
