This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Mechanical Engineer.

Assemble components and parts in a quality manner in order to manufacture diesel engines
Perform such functions as quality checks, preventative and minor corrective maintenance, skill acquisitioning and skill sharing
Work efficiently with other team members, and work groups to accomplish team and organizational goals
Must be willing to and able to express ideas effectively in individual and group situations
Must practice safety, quality and housekeeping awareness as per Team Standards
Must be able to learn and participate in all job tasks within the Cell and/or team.
Understand and support all TS-16949 initiatives
Understand and support all 5S activities on your team
Must have flexibility to meet customer needs
Work rotating shifts
Frequent use of extremities required
Must be able to lift one to forty-five pounds frequently and seventy-five pounds or more infrequently with assistance
Continuous standing and bending
Must be able to work with oils, greases, and cleaners
Skills and Experience Required:

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required
Ability to read and interpret product process documentation
Good communication, organization, and problem solving skills
Must pass all required testing
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
