This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for an IT Shop Floor Support Lead. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Provides system operational support ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of systems for end users. Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.

  • Performs routine maintenance, facilitates customization and changes to, and ensures system disaster recovery for systems.

  • Leads new employee technology setup, including computer setup and delivery and system access.

  • Resolves issues not readily evident and performs authorized changes and upgrades to existing systems.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks; monitors system performance and accuracy.

  • Performs complex root-cause analysis to identify issues.

  • Coaches and mentors less experienced security analysts; documents knowledge and solutions for use across the organization

Qualifications

Provides system operational leadership ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of systems for shop floor end users.

Supervise IT Technician team consisting of two shifts to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.

Provide leadership to technical team by coaching and mentoring the technicians

Resolves issues not readily evident and manage the implementation of authorized changes and upgrades to existing systems.

IT Change Management Process - Ability to systematically control changes to Information Technology (IT) systems and maintain their integrity and traceability throughout their life cycle.

Analyze Issues - Understands complex concepts and problems and identifies how they relate to key processes

IT Architecture - Knowledge of concepts and philosophies regarding the design and deployment of information technologies and associated architectural concepts, principles and tools.

Experience

  • 7 to 15 years relevant work experience with leadership required.

  • Good Project management skills.

  • Hands-on leader: The candidate must be willing to occasionally assist end user by himself or herself to solve their problems.

  • The candidate must feel comfortable working on a Team Base Work System.

  • The candidate must have international cultural awareness and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.

  • Preferred experience in a Manufacturing Industry.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience plus annualized bonus potential.
