This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, NC for an Accounts Payable Analyst. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Provides analytical support as a member of the accounts payable team.
Prepares analyses and reports for the accounts payable team; makes recommendations for changes to methods and processes based on the analyses prepared.
Prepares statistical reporting
Resolves moderately complex accounts payable issues and problems.
Builds and maintains relationships with other Finance disciplines and work teams.
Executes special projects as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required:
Relevant work experience required.
Responsible for managing high volume of Accounts Payable activities, including Error Corrections and Intercompany transactions.
Reviewing and working cross functionally to ensure compliance of all controls while delivering superior customer service.
Ensure SOX compliance and support audit work for the Accounts Payable function.
Work with external and internal stakeholders to process payables and meet KPI metrics.
Project support related to AP / Plant Finance improvements.
Management of the month end AP close process and ensure transactions completed to deadlines.
Work with the General Accounting Supervisor to assist with coaching and mentoring accounts payable technicians; assigning work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; and assessing performance of Accounts Payable team.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience plus annual variable compensation plan.
