Currently, we are recruiting for a Service Advisor for our Service Center in West Palm Beach, FL . This position is responsible for managing the customer's experience for the following in either an "In Shop" or "Mobile" environment.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates contact with the customer either in person or over the telephone.

  • Schedules customer work for service In Shop.

  • Manages the work order to include customer contact during the diagnostic, quoting, repair and invoicing processes.

  • Ensures that all applicable SRTs are built in the job plan.

  • Understands BMS measures.

  • Actively involved in service center marketing and selling.

  • Acts as a technical advisor to the customer as to the technical information about their vehicle during the Quickserve processes of Greeting the Customer and Initial Diagnosis of Equipment.

  • Reviews Insite and symptom information from customer equipment.

  • Creates EDS DISD work records from initial diagnosis for technician.

  • Performs additional duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

  • Supports and reflects the Cummins practice of being customer led and customer focused.

  • Completes an individual development plan for personal and professional improvement work and attends training sessions, as required.

  • Participates in the process of continuous improvement for customers, employees and the Company.

  • Takes active role in NPS measures and improvement strategy

Qualifications

Skills

  • Excellent communications skills - active listening, writing, speaking and telephone.

  • Good verbal communication skills with external and internal customers.

  • Understands the service process, measures and the activity that affects the measures

  • Integrity enabling trust between both external and internal customers.

  • Analysis/problem solving with basic knowledge of diesel engine technology.

  • PC skills for written communications

  • Demonstrates team leadership and motivates others in a team environment.

  • Demonstrates ability to work through conflict and strong negotiations skills.

  • Effective user of good problem solving skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain a good business relationship with customers.

  • Demonstrates commitment to and creative thinking for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma

  • Related work experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
