We are looking for an extraordinary shop foreman to trouble shoot, repair and rebuild engine products in a service workshop independently while coaching and developing less experienced technicians. This person will be based out of Renton, Washington. Other duties include:

  • Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

  • Ensure technicians are performing work in a safe manner following Cummins policies and guidelines

  • Supervise, train, assign and review technician repairs on the floor

  • Mentor techs on 2nd system sales and ensure they are looking for upsell opportunities

  • Ensure technicians are providing correct information to service supervisors to set up SRTs (ESN, OEM, make and model)

  • Ensure technicians are performing repairs per Cummins guidelines, including proper disassembly, inspection and reassembly.

  • Keep technicians focused on repairs to ensure profitability

  • Mentor technicians and answer technical questions

  • On occasion, help technicians with repairs to meet customer deadlines

  • Assist service supervisors with technical questions.

To succeed in this role, the shop foreman will have the following skill sets:

  • Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

  • Ensure technicians are performing work in a safe manner following Cummins policies and guidelines

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

Compensation and benefits

Hourly wage commensurate with experience plus bonus.
