Summary

This Eligibility Analyst position will be primarily focused on eligibility and reconciliation processes. This position requires someone to be detail oriented and have strong problem-solving and decision making skills while working with little supervision and follow up. This person must be able to multi-task and prioritize appropriately with little direction.

  • Responsible for weekly eligibility file transmissions

  • Work weekly discrepancy reports to identify and correct benefit eligibility issues

  • Perform quarterly and/or annual eligibility audits as it relates to the US H&W benefit programs

  • Use Discoverer to run reports, pull data, create mailing lists as requested

  • Serve as backup for benefit account reconciliations

  • Assist with all new business and existing business implementations from a benefits eligibility perspective

  • Determine the accounting impact of the H&W file changes and coordinate with benefits accounting

  • Work with Onesource, Accounting, H&W and vendors to maintain group tables and processes for benefit plan activity

  • Subject matter expert with the consumer driven accounting practices and programs

  • Participate as a team member to improve strategies and policies

  • Implement changes to the administrative processes

  • Assists in the collection, consolidation and interpretation of data required to support benefit programs; prepare reports, evaluations and other research regarding plan compliance and effectiveness

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field preferred

  • Strong Analytical skills required

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills required

  • Accounting or finance experience (reconciliations, credits/debits, and journal entries)

  • Communication – Is able to effectively and clearly communicate in both written and verbal means

  • Benefits Design and Administration – Has a good understand of benefits programs including the design, cost structure and experience answering employee questions

  • Finance Internal Controls – Understands the importance of finance internal controls within business processes. Has general knowledge about common control procedures and knows when to apply

  • Human Resources Data Management – Understand human resources information requirements. Able to perform data quality reviews and take corrective actions to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Has a full understanding of information confidentiality requirements

  • Analytical Reasoning – Has a basic understanding of research methodologies and statistics. Can understand basic graphs and charts of information.

Qualifications
