Summary

Provide analytical research services as a member of the Customer Support team in a high volume AP operation. Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through quality service. Work cross functionally and/or with Supply Chain Finance, Cummins Entities, and Supplier base to ensure timely payments in accordance with SLA agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with entities to research and resolve all electronic and manual invoice processing rejects from BMS, DART and Telamon AP system.

  • Identify root cause analysis of payables processing errors and suggests process improvements.

  • Perform complex research/analysis and statement reviews as required to resolve supplier account discrepancies.

  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members and others within the organization.

  • Participates in projects related to A/P improvement.

  • Perform Customer Service responsibilities for a range of suppliers.

  • Provide support to Cummins Entities, Cummins Distributors, Supply Chain Finance and Suppliers for all supplier invoicing issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of AP/Purchasing methodology and basic accounting principles.

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated decision making and problem solving ability.

  • Knowledge of BMS system.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, work with deadlines and respond quickly to change.

  • Strong Customer Focus with excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma (GED) and 5 years AP experience or Associate's Degree in Business or related field & and 2 years AP experience or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
