This is an exciting opportunity in Greensboro, NC for a Power Generation Field Service Technician. Cummins North America is where you can work on industry leading engine technology such as High-horsepower GenSets, Integrated Power Systems, and PowerCommand panels in the Commercial Industrial, Data Center, and Prime Power markets.

Skills andExperience Required:
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair generator set systemsin a field environment without direct supervision.
At direction of Field Service Manager, works with PowerGeneration Sales Department on new product startups.
Ability to read and interpret electrical wiringdiagrams.
Understand safety aspects of working with all ACvoltages up to 600V, 3 phase.
Ability to operate all standard service tools pluselectrical testing equipment.
Ability to work with detailed information underconsiderable time limitations and with minimal supervision.
Possesses all the troubleshooting, diagnosing and repaircapabilities of a highly-skilled genset technician involving dieselengine, generator, engine governor, generator and engine control gear andelectrical power switching mechanisms and their control.
Proficient in Windows XP; other computer software asrequired including Business Management System (BMS) and Outlook.
Required Education,Licenses or Certifications
Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Technical school or communitycollege graduates preferred.
Minimumof 6 years experience in repair and maintenance work of power generatorsand related components.
Knowledgeof ‘Onan Level II’ preferred.
Proficientin systematically troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing emergencypower systems and related mechanical/electrical components.
Abilityto read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic diagrams.
Thoroughunderstanding of single phase and three phase AC electrical schemes.
Understandsafety aspects of working with all AC voltages up to 600 volts, 3 phase and have a working knowledge of NFPA70E safety standard.
Abilityto properly and safely use and maintain common hand tools and electricaltesting equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
