Job Summary

Cummins Sales and Service is looking for a Materials Coordinator to support the business unit's profitability and customer satisfaction targets. This position manages all non-serialized inventory for the engine business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect all incoming parts to verify no damage upon receipt, and confirm quantity I part number match against the purchase order.

  • Organize and maintain inventory to separate stock inventory from inventory allocated to a work order. Store in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool room, supply rooms, or other areas making sure that safety standards are always met.

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse or storage yards.

  • Record inventory data manually and using computer.

  • Perform cycle counts.

  • Monitor inventory levels, help to set up minimumImaximum levels.

  • Submit stock purchase orders.

  • Create kit carts based on pick tickets.

  • Coordinate part shipments and returns.

  • Pull items from shelves and pack customer orders for shipping.

  • Load and unload pallets.

  • Build parts kits.

  • Prepare bills of lading and shipping labels.

  • Perform housekeeping duties: sweeping, cleaning and straightening shelves; keeping aisles clear.



  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with external and internal customers.

  • Be a self-motivated, team player with the desire to work and communicate well with customers and co-workers.

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems desirable.

  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, expedite and follow through to task completion.

  • Demonstrate ability to positively react to change in environment, processes and people.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage customers in a courteous and professional manner.
