This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Sr. Pricing Analyst.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Producesand secures the distribution of pricing information (electronic media andcatalogs), and maintains a library of analytical programs. Implements pricingchanges throughout the company and the customer base.

  • Maintainsaccurate pricing data in order management and rebates systems including accountsetup and data verification; tracks and monitors win/loss data such as requestsfor quotes.

  • Makespricing recommendations on new product pricing and price changes; implementsand reviews price adjustments; executes pricing strategy at a new product ormarket segment level.

  • Leads,manages, or participates in pricing improvement projects; develops outcome andpricing improvements.

  • Createsreports and analysis; presents results and conclusions to managers.

  • Providesdirect and prompt assistance to customers regarding complex pricing issuesthrough various media (phone, email, fax, letter).

  • Maintainsconfidential information and manages the use of this information appropriately.

  • Contributesto continuous improvement teams and implements new processes and programs.

  • Coachesand mentors less experienced Pricing Analysts.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Market Analysis - Familiar with thecompetitors in the market. Aware of regulatory, political, and otherenvironmental pressures currently at work in the market(s) of interest.

  • Product Knowledge - Knowledge ofproducts and product lines. Able to represent the features and benefits of theproducts in terms a customer will understand. Knowledge of how the productfunctions and the source of the product, whether manufactured or purchased as afinished assembly from a supplier outside of the company, or remanufactured.Knowledge of technology used in complementary and/or competing product linesand the inherent benefits/exposures.

  • Market Positioning - Understandsproduct and market positioning tools and can apply them.

  • Pricing Strategy - Able to implementintegrated pricing strategies across a common set of customers or markets. Ableto implement integrated Value Based pricing strategies across a common set ofcustomers. Understands and has familiarity with the following tools, techniquesand processes: Price Setting, Pricing Policy Creation, Price and ValueCommunication, Price Structure creation and management, Value Creation(economic value estimation), Price Elasticity of Demand Analysis, PriceSegmentation, Competitive Intelligence Analysis, Price Waterfall Management,Product Life Cycle pricing and Cummins LTA Process.

  • Analytical - Fully proficient. Able toidentify and interpret patterns in data to predict future opportunities.Understand NPV analysis.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in BusinessAdministration, Finance or related disciple required.

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevantpricing experience is required.

  • Must be able to communicate effectivelywith Sr. Leadership and Business Partners.

  • Experience in B2B Pricing Analysisis highly preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary commensurate with experience.
