This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana for a Corporate Development Manager.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Leads a variety of business strategy projectsthat produce recommendations for addressing strategic opportunities for thebusiness.

  • Leads multiple business strategy projects;projects may be within a business unit, across multiple business units, orinvolve the creation of a new business venture, such as a joint venture, equityalliance, acquisition, etc.

  • Designs and develops strategy throughqualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • Applies strategic frameworks to analyzeopportunities and develop solutions; synthesizes environmental data,stakeholder analysis, and market force data as a part of the financial andbusiness analysis necessary to develop insights and solutions to supportstrategic business decisions.

  • Works closely with the CEO, COO, BusinessSegment Presidents and their staffs, the Board of Directors, and key internaland external constituencies.

  • Communicates complex strategy topics clearlyand concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oralcommunication.

  • Actively participates in campus recruitingactivities; conducts interviews on campus; interviews professional hires.

  • Maintains business partnerships by effectivelyleading internal and external partners, such as peers in other units, staffgroups, and senior management and outside suppliers, to accomplishorganizational goals and to identify opportunities and resolve problems.

  • Manages, coaches, and mentors others; providesguidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates works assignmentsconsidering employee skills and development needs.

Experience / Skills

  • Strategy consultingexperience preferred.

  • Support CorporateDevelopment Projects

  • Projects vary in scope(JV Creation, Acquisitions, Divestitures & Strategic Partnerships)

  • Lead corporatedevelopment projects.

  • Develop financialvaluation parameters and oversee development of financial models/assumptionsfor target project.

  • Evaluateproposed transactions from strategic, financial, and structuringperspectives and play a key role in negotiations and deal flow.

  • Identify and reviewbusiness opportunities to help businesses achieve their growth targets.

  • Support due diligenceactivities and actively participate in deal development, taking a lead role infinancial and structuring steps, provide financial and business analysis anddevelop communication plans.

  • Review contracts andunderstand their implications on deal structure

  • Support target project(dis) integration activities

  • Interact with investmentbanks as required

  • Identify, support orlead diverse cross functional teams; prioritize task and manage work flows

  • Anticipates needs with astrategic mindset; self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work onmultiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Champion the A-reviewand delegation of authority processes among business unit leaders.

  • As appropriate todepartment structure, manage department Analyst(s).

  • Proficiency in asecondary language is preferred

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent degree required

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
