This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana for a Corporate Communications Project Coordinator .

Skills and Experience Required:

Project management/event planning:

  • Create and manage detailed project plans for events, initiatives, often assisting in cross-functional, cross BU collaboration

  • Coordinate and develop presentation for Corporate Quarterly All-Employee Meetings

  • Schedule and support quarterly Officer’s Meetings

  • Lead planning team of 10-12 for Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Administrative:

  • Develop correspondence, presentations, etc. for Executive Director as necessary

  • Schedule meetings, develop agendas, distribute pre-work- have a working knowledge of the breadth and depth of Corporate Communications coverage area

  • Manage requirements and deadlines of expense reporting

  • Organize monthly staff meetings and bi-weekly leadership team meeting and drive agenda development

  • Manage executive calendar management-schedule and arrange meetings, resolve conflicts

  • Assist in the design and maintenance of Corporate Communications schedule and planning calendar

  • Manage ad hoc travel arrangements and calendar planning for Executive Director

  • Maintain relationships with Columbus communications staff and communications liaisons in other parts of the world

  • Prepare communications-related onboarding materials for new hires and acquaint them with office, employees and Cummins practices

Communications:

  • Develop and implement communication plans for customers, completing tactics in a timely manner

  • Write and distribute Corporate Communications organizational announcements and other related written materials

  • Support all members of team with writing and proofreading of documents

Digital:

  • Maintain and support various Corp Communication sites on Cummins Connect

  • Create and manage digital signage

  • Design and disseminate targeted email messages

Required Functional/Technical Skills

  • Project Management

  • Communications planning and message creation

  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities

  • Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies

  • Communicates effectively with all levels within CMI

  • Works independently

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Ability to listen

  • Graphic design

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required

Experience: 1-2 years

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
