Skills and Experience Required:
Job Summary- Machinist will diagnose, plan, and perform machining and inspecting of critical parts necessary to support the remanufacturing of high horsepower engines. The Machinists will set up and operate precision machines and tools to produce parts that must meet exact measurements and requirements. Position is also responsible for making and repairing complicated gages, templates, jigs, fixtures, special tools and dies where closets accuracy is required.
Know, follow, lead, and enforce all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
Maintain and operate precision equipment to adequately produce parts that meet the required machining tolerances.
Measure key components to ensure re-use criteria is met
Inspect and analyze the condition of critical parts to ensure the standard to met.
Maintain records and part/component identity to work order process
Manage work flow appropriately, and as directed, consistent with rebuild production schedule.
Document, as required, activities and observations of critical technical aspects of engine parts.
Maintain safe, clean and tidy work area and contribute to cleanliness and safety of rebuild facility and activities, contributing positively, as part of team effort.
Support safety initiatives and contribute to an interdependent culture.
Assist with operations of rebuild:
o Maintenance and repair of equipment in HHP rebuild
o Cleanliness, tidiness of HHP facility
o Safety inspections and safety compliance
o Contribute positively to HHP team environment
o High focus on quality and customer satisfaction
A detailed knowledge of Rottler (milling, line bore, C&C) or similar machining centers to include programing, troubleshooting, or similar activities.
Extensive knowledge of gaging and use of precision measuring devises
Strong working knowldege of Microsoft products (Word, Excel)
Detailed oriented and ability to operate within a process oriented environment
Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 50 pounds.
Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
