ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ship stock orders and back orders. Receive all incoming inventory and freight in the warehouse.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Unload incoming trucks. Inspect the boxes for damages; sign the freight bills.

  • Open received boxes and check contents against the packing slips

  • Inspect incoming inventory for freight damage. If received inventory is damaged or unacceptable for re-sale, re-package such items for shipment and note it on the packing slip for Order Processing.

  • Research orders received that do not include packing slips to determine the correct distribution.

  • Occasionally stock parts.

  • Deliver items received to individual employees as necessary.

  • Participate in maintaining a clean and orderly department.

  • Respond to inquiries from branches or customers on the status of orders, shipping, and product availability.

  • Ability to safely operate forklift.

  • Package stock and back orders for shipment. Prepare shipping documents, select the freight carrier, and make shipping arrangements with the freight carrier.

  • Load Company truck with inventory to be delivered to CSPL branches throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

  • Pull parts for special orders and prepare for shipment, as instructed by the Director of Logistics.

  • Deliver orders to local customers, as requested.

  • Stock parts received. Verify and stock the weekly order of parts received from Diesel Recon.

  • Move trailers for loading, unloading, or parking on Company property, as necessary.

  • Assist office employees by moving heavy objects as needed.

  • Assist customers who are picking up parts orders by verifying their orders are complete and loading their vehicles.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Legible handwriting.

  • Must possess strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.

  • Familiarity with BMS System.

  • Ability to operate a forklift.

  • Valid Texas or Oklahoma driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must have an internal drive for customer service and provide an elevated level of service for internal and external customers.

  • Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.
