Material Handler - 2nd Shift (3:15pm – 11:30pm)

We are looking for a talented Material Handler to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment team in Fletcher, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Controls further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected as defined by applicable procedures and/or delegation of the area manufacturing manager.

  • Corrects Inventory errors found immediately. if possible, determine the cause of the error and inform the other technicians, so the necessary actions can be established to prevent future errors.

  • Operate power fork truck in moving materials, stacking, loaded pallets makingfrequent trips out of doors to storage areas.

  • Be familiar with weigh-counting procedures, record control procedures, shipping and receiving procedures and setting up schedules.

  • Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating toproduct, process, and quality systems.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma, College, or training in material handling, forklifting or related field required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

    • Significant work experience in forklifting is required.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a team environment and to effectivelycommunicate with scheduling, material handling and manufacturing personnel.

  • Be familiar with weigh-counting procedures, record control procedures, shipping and receiving procedures and setting up schedules.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

  • Good understanding of customer demands

  • Familiarity with bill of lading, packing list, and international shipping requirements.

  • Must comply with all Environmental Management System (EMS) policies andprocedures.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete all Shipping position requirements, toinclude Yard Dog operations (or be able to be trained to standard on Yard Dogoperations)

  • Strong knowledge of the automotive manufacturing sector and readiness to adhere to safety measures.

  • Must be a quick learner and able to collaborate with others.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate of $21.49 and above as commensurate with experience.
