Cummins Inc. Manufacturing Assistant in De Pere, Wisconsin
The Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for a multitude of changing tasks to ensure the efficient flow of documentation and information to support the shop floor on a daily basis
Opening and closing of work orders and data entry of other various manufacturing documents.
Managing of job photos and other quality documents (Downtime Tracker, etc.).
Process Non-Conformances as needed per ISO procedures.
Maintains calibrations of all shop tools and equipment.
Facilitator of maintenance activities for shop (Cranes, slings, vehicles, etc.)
Provides support for continuous improvement activities.
Participates in the identification of ways in which to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
Follows all workplace safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor or manager.
Quality – Ability to identify and document non-conforming materials.
Attention to detail—Ability to achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task.
Organizational Skills – Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment.
Strong computer skills. Proficient in MS Office.
Leadership- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.
Communication – Strong verbal and written skills.
Teamwork—Cooperates and collaborates toward solutions that benefit the team while accomplishing team objectives.
Decision Making/Problem Solving—Takes action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason.
High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree Preferred.
1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Requires ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds and the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Tasks may require bending, stretching, standing, twisting, climbing up and down on equipment throughout the work shift.
Must be able to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment..
Work environment requires Manufacturing Assistant to wear identified PPE when on shop floor.
