Facilities Maintenance Technician, Cummins Southern Plains
Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. Performance of building maintenance tasks in the following fields: carpentry; HVAC; plumbing, and mechanical systems. Perform other tasks as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect buildings and equipment to meet code requirements and to detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
Operate and manage the Building Management System and Lighting Control
Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains
and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc…).
Perform minor mechanical repairs (e.g. replacement of motors, fans, fan belts, filters, etc…
Perform minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
Order supplies, parts and maintain required documents.
Minimum of one year working experience in facility maintenance.
Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Must be able to work flexible hours
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be able to speak the English language fluently
Knowledgeable in Word, Excel and computer use
Licensed forklift operator
Basic knowledge and understanding of a facilities’ operations.
Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.
Willing to assume responsibility, is self-motivated, and has a high degree of professional integrity.
Well rounded, flexible team player, and the ability to learn quickly.
Skilled in applying a logical, common sense approach to seeking practical solutions.
Communicate effectively when dealing with people of diverse interest and levels of authority.
