Plans, orders, and expedites materials needed for Value Package Introduction builds. Interacts with internal customers, suppliers, and shippers.

Plans, orders, and expedites materials needed for Value Package Introduction builds; monitors requests through standard processes; resolves materials-related

issues with suppliers and internal customers; resolves engineering component conflicts and part allocation issues.

Manages all indirect tier one suppliers; maintains proactive contact with suppliers to understand order status and shipping or freight problems; sources prototype

suppliers with and without assistance from Purchasing; identifies suppliers with a mind toward full production; coordinates all aspects of material delivery for

Value Package Introduction operations.

Provides information on materials status to product engineering; researches engineering releases for compatibility and history; works with purchasing and

engineering to implement changes; coordinates with Engineering regarding materials and supplier quality issues.

Understands metrics related to inventory control; develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases to assist with responsibilities; analyzes data; audits pull

signals and overall system performance; measures supplier delivery performance.

Coordinates inventory levels relative to Value Package Introduction capacity and capability; verifies and tracks all incoming and outgoing materials; works with

appropriate functional resources to understand and ensure proper inventory levels; compiles and schedules orders; monitors usage and historical needs to

determine any needed changes to inventory.

Acts as a user or super user of inventory control systems; determines order rules necessary to drive accurate inventory levels; responsible for cycle count

accuracy for all parts; conducts troubleshooting for systems issues; provides input into and drives changes for upgrades and improvements to the system.

Works with supplier to resolve issues regarding procedures, delivery, status updates, pricing, other matters, and implement Material Agreements.

Tracks, evaluates, and maintains evolving data for new product introduction; develop, maintain, and monitor Value Package Introduction pull lists.

Develops part inventory and storage processes; maintains all associated records; coordinates part kitting for engineering builds and testing.

Interfaces and communicates with internal customers; directs people to the appropriate resource; researches solutions and responds to email and phone


Gathers input for budgets; tracks and updates budget forecasts; prepares reports for the department summarizing budget status.

Prepares documentation for payment of vendors and suppliers; submits documentation and enters request for payments into accounting system; approves

transactions; responds to inquiries from accounts payable and payees.

Initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement processes; actively participates in self- and team audits and resulting process improvements.

Understands the structure of the organization and maintains a strong network across departments; draws on network to answer questions, solve problems, and

successfully execute responsibilities.

Demonstrates confidentiality in execution of all responsibilities.

Performs other duties as required, to get the job done.

Travel as required by the work.

Qualifications and Competencies

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.


Four year experience/education requirement accomplished through one of the following: Associates degree and at least two years of relevant experience or at

least four years of relevant experience required.
