This is an exciting opportunity for Sourcing Team Leader #IN638 in Columbus, Indiana.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Lead sourcing teams in the tactical application of sourcing strategies.
Collaborate with peers and other to product direct and/or indirect sourcing and purchasing strategies across business units.
Define project scope, mitigate risk, and identify savings opportunities.
Implement policies and track supplier and team performance to ensures that business goals are realized with respect to market-driven supply chains.
Manage execution by measuring effectiveness through defined metrics and disciplined monitoring.
Negotiate well-defined metrics and supplier management processes to ensure robust management by all functional stakeholders.
Apply systems and processes to improve and complete work at a team/departmental level, work to eliminate system and process inefficiencies and roadblocks, and demonstrate consistent use of structured work documentation.
Manage sourcing and purchasing strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, fostering innovation and optimizing business processes.
Set goals for and manage category strategy, commodity, and project teams.
Manage stakeholders in order to define the business, technical and qualitative requirements and accommodate differences in competencies and expectations so that supplier responses may be evaluated objectively.
Promote alignment of purchasing strategy with business unit and supply chain goals.
Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
Utilize Problem solving tools and processes to complete key projects, solve complex problems, and to determine root cause.
Negotiate supplier contracts independently or as a member of a negotiating team.
Manage the supplier selection process and conduct complex supplier negotiations and contracts.
Assimilate available data from industry, market and category analysis to develop performance metrics and create a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Maintain team’s focus on the impact of souring decisions across the entire supply chain.
Advise and consult with internal business partners on sourcing and purchasing processes and procedures.
Actively participate in implementation process of new purchasing systems including requirements gathering, design, communication development, and user training.
Assimilate cross-functional, cross-site performance data across geographies.
25% travel required.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics, or related field and 2 years of experience as a Sourcing Manager, Commodity Leader, or related position.
Alternatively the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Logistics, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Sourcing Manager, Commodity Leader, or related position.

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
