Cummins MES software testing, writing technical documentation on software releases, other technical support for Manufacturing IT Systems and Controls team.

Contributes to the team by completing routine and repetitive compiles, builds, and debugs to software program modules.

Contributes to development and support of software products as assigned; assists with assigned software products tests as documented.Uses Windows or UNIX operating systems interface.Works with Technicians and Associates to install software and hardware; resolves basic helpdesk tickets.Executes written software test procedures using desktop simulators, and prepares test reports in a specified format for review.Participates in cross-functional reviews; collects metrics; uses tracking systems and other process improvement tools.Prepares test environment prior to testing; uses software testing tools and test software for automated test activities; compiles builds errors at the source codelevel; resolves basic problems and escalates more complicated issues to Technician or Associate.Downloads software to the target platform; performs basic validation procedures; uses configuration management system to update and maintain productdatabases; uses problem tracking systems to update and maintain problem database.Takes corrective actions to basic issues based on problem reports and change requests as needed to ensure high-quality software products.Assists technicians and engineers as required.Understands and applies appropriate Company and department rules and guidelines to work.Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions.Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.Participates in improvement projects.Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.Maintains cleanliness within the workplace.Knows and complies with departmental safety policies and procedures.Demonstrates confidentiality as required.Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.Must pass all related testing.

One year of relevant experience required.School to work program experience in relevant field preferred.
