Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizecomplex financial analysis and reporting to support performance management ofCummins engine Joint Ventures in China, Russia, Japan, and India (“HMLD JointVentures”).

  • LeadAnnual Simulation and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for HMLD Joint Ventures ensuringaccurate forecasting of product volumes, revenues, expenses and staffingrequirements.

  • Monitormonthly and quarterly Planning, Forecasting and Reporting, includingcoordination with joint ventures, performing business performance assessmentand management financial synthesis, assessing gaps and recommending actions tomanagement.

  • Supportarea business organization in organization development, and finance processimprovement.

  • Developand manage Synchronized Business Planning (SBP) through coordination withvarious groups in order to support management in strategic business decisions.

  • LeadOperations and Supply Chain monthly financial performance reporting, focusingon manufacturing and supply chain efficiency.

  • Completemonth-end close process in a timely fashion in compliance with SOX(Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), andliaise with other manufacturing plants to ensure accurate financial results andproper accounting treatments.

  • Participatein joint ventures monthly review meetings and consolidate business updates.

  • Utilizesoftware including Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle ERP R12, Essbase, and HyperionEnterprise/Retrieve to manage month-end Journal entries, monthly forecast,department expense reporting, and provide summary level reporting to businesscontroller and senior management.

  • Responsiblefor performing variance and trend analysis, comparing actual results to budgetand forecast and identifying key drivers and deviations of business results.Work directly with cost accounting and manufacturing accounting to understandoperation cost structure, variable costs, manufacturing overhead, conversioncosts and absorption.

  • UtilizeSix Sigma tools including DMAIC and DFSS to identify process improvementopportunities and reduce variation. Build financial models for strategic growthinitiatives.

Experience and Education:


  • Positionsrequire a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field and2 years of experience as a Financial Audit, Account Analyst, Auditor or relatedposition.

  • Alternatively,the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Businessor related field and 5 years of experience as a Financial Audit, AccountAnalyst, Auditor or related position.

Experience to include:

  • Financialanalysis and reporting; Joint Ventures Annual Simulation and Annual OperatingPlan (AOP)

  • SOX(Sarbanes-Oxley Act)

  • GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

  • OracleERP R12, Essbase, and Hyperion Enterprise/Retrieve to manage month-end Journalentries, monthly forecast, department expense reporting

  • Varianceand trend analysis

  • SixSigma tools including DMAIC and DFSS

  • Buildingfinancial models.
