in Columbus, Indiana.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Liaise between business and technology to translate tactical and strategic objectives into workable solutions and coordinate the remediation of deficiencies.
Work with business and functional leaders to define tangible and measurable business outcomes during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Assess technology solutions in order to determine how closely the solutions meet the stakeholders’ requirements.
Validate the solution to ensure that the delivered solution fits the business needs.
Prioritize business and enterprise demands and facilitate requirements meetings for moderately complex projects.
Utilize engineering knowledge to strategically implement OLTP (Online Transactional Processing) reporting using Oracle Applications, NoetixViews and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems into IT solutions.
Consider latest technologies and new approaches to designs and implementation of new systems.
Review changes or upgrades to existing systems designs.
Lead business and functional resources in the design of efficient business processes that fully leverage technical solutions being delivered or developed.
Develop requirements documents, user documentation, manuals, training materials and job aids for Master Data Management (MDM) projects.
Review test plans and Six Sigma DMAIC testing methodology to mitigate risks and to ensure the systems meet functional and performance requirements.
Plan the Business Analysis Approach to define system scopes and requirements and manage changes to the project scope or deliverables.
Escalate highly complex issues to subject matter experts.
Perform complex capacity planning and monitoring in multiple business and information technology functions.
Make significant contributions in financial planning including Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Gather, analyze, and document requirements, current practices, workflows, and business needs to identify efficiencies, alternatives, and gaps.
Analyze internal information technology capacity, vendor capabilities and business processes to suggest improvements, propose automation and streamline SAP Business Objects business intelligence reporting and decision processes by developing BI Dashboards and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Perform ad-hoc analyses to analyze best approach to solving systems problems (innovation vs. re-use/purchase vs. develop).
Make budget recommendations for projects and implementation.
Develop positive relationships with other company functions involved in the design process.
Skills and Experience Required:
Experience to include:
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strategic implementation of Online Transactional Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems
Oracle Business Intelligence Applications, BI Dashboards
Master Data Management (MDM)
Business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
SAP Business Objects
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require a Master’s degree in Information Systems or Technology, Computer, Software or Electronics Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Computer or Software Engineer, Consultant or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Technology, Computer, Software or Electronics Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Computer or Software Engineer, Consultant or related position.

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
