This is an exciting opportunity for Industrial Engineers – Senior, Manufacturing #IN624 in Columbus, Indiana.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Design, improve and install integrated manufacturing and administrative systems.
Plan and establish sequence of operations for the fabrication and assembly of parts and products.
Conduct work measurement studies and create standard work methods for new and current production lines to establish costs, throughput times, capacity levels and manpower plans.
Obtain and calculate data applying line balancing analysis to efficiently deliver products.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications and related information for improving environment and production efficiency.
Draft and design equipment and workspace layout to illustrate maximum efficiency.
Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
Develop process layouts which encompass all equipment, tooling and material flows to provide an effective Product Assembly process using AutoCAD.
Design safe and efficient work stations for manufacturing environments, using plant layout, ergonomic considerations, work station design principles and production needs.
Utilize experience with Capital Procurement and Analysis for purchasing tools and equipment according to company specifications.
Apply statistical methods to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements and production standards.
Execute cost analyses on make versus buy decisions for component and sub-assemblies.
Apply knowledge of Asset Utilization Management to drive business decisions, develop labor utilization standards and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Provide guidance in meeting technical targets of project within time and budget by applying project management tools and techniques.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Positions require a Master’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience as an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience as an Industrial or Manufacturing Engineer, or related position.

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]

Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
