This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Functional Excellence Specialist. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Supports several aspects of a function’s Functional Excellence efforts.

  • Conducts functional analysis to identify development needs and process improvements. Coordinates and monitors improvement projects of varying complexity and size in assigned functional area. This position may provide exposure to multiple Cummins business units and sub-functions.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of global functional excellence initiatives.

  • Assist with the Implementation of learning and development programs for the function; Assists in communicating the direction and specific information concerning the function to stakeholders.

  • Is engaged in managing global position profiles and functional skill competency.

  • Participates in COS assessments.

  • Helps develop Functional Excellence Assessments.

  • _ Assists with Functional Talent Management processes

Skills and Experience Required:

End to end responsibility of managing programs in Corporate Responsibility (CR) team.

Managing CR Connect Community and Training content for all Corporate Responsibility leaders and Community Involvement Teams (CITs).

Deploy vocational/educational programs globally through Corporate Responsibility leaders.

Drive Functional Excellence for the Corporate Responsibility function.

Identify global needs for new programs/processes; research, design and roll out those processes in collaboration with CR leaders.

The role would require extensive collaboration with Corporate Responsibility teams globally. Experience of working with global teams and rolling out global processes is valuable.

Analytical skills – data analysis, review trends, conduct research, collect stakeholder voices, roll out programs and improve on on-going basis. Medium skill level for using pivot tables and charts in excel.

Presentation skills - Identify the problem that needs to be solved, create a plan on what information to present, how and why it is relevant. Ensure presentations developed have a flow that helps the audience to understand the program/project/deliverables.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent degree) required

Compensation and Benefits

Base rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
