This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for an Electronic Controls Systems Engineer. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
- _ Support calibration and software development activities for EBU Off Highway VPI and CPS programs.
- _ Tune and validate assigned features and diagnostics, and conduct design reviews.
- _ Develop customized calibrations for field test and IQA installations.
- _ Coordination with Application and Service Engineering groups to define customer requirements and identify controls support needs.
- _ Calibration and controls troubleshooting support for field installations (GCE Ticket System), test cells and production plants.
Skills and Experience Required:
BS or MS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 year experience in related field/industry.
Strong people skills and effective written/verbal communication skills (including presentation) are essential.
Solid background in controls/embedded systems, datalinks, electronic circuits and hardware (i.e sensors, actuators).
Knowledge of Calibration Tools (Calterm, CalbertNG), MATLAB and Simulink are required.
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent degree) in Engineering required
Compensation and Benefits
Base hourly rate commensurate with experience .
