This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, IN for a Controls Systems Team Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation
Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required. Ten or more years’ experience in a similar discipline expected. Previous manager experience required.
This position requires understanding of basic thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and controls theory.
Engine performance experience is a plus.
Simulation and experience working in a test cell environment is also a plus.
The positions leads the Dynamic Systems and Controls Engine Integration System Team. The team is responsible for development and tuning of air handling, on-board diagnostic, and machine control algorithms using a prescribed design process from concept to fully tested and documented deliverables.
Typical duties of the team include collecting and determining the system functional and performance requirements, using theoretical and practical knowledge and experience to approach the problem(s), develop and select algorithm concepts, design and evaluate the algorithm using Simulink, code algorithms using RTWEC, build and test ECM software on the bench or in an engine test environment, develop and execute simulation or HWIL regression tests to ensure quality.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required. Advanced degree or extended specific training are preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
