This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana for a Compensation Director.
Thinking beyond your desk includes:
Leads the design,implementation, administration and legislative compliance of company-wideglobal broad-based compensation strategies, policies and processes.
Continuously assesses marketpractices, trends, and regulatory environments related to compensationprogram design and delivery, and integrates these elements into thecompany’s programs as appropriate.
Partners with business andhuman resources leadership to develop compensation strategies to meetbusiness objectives; ensures that strategies, policies, processes andreporting practices comply with corporate governance practices andlegislative requirements.
Coaches and partners with linehuman resources to deliver compensation programs aligned with businessneeds; facilitates the alignment of country and entity-specificcompensation programs with the organization’s business and peoplestrategies, objectives, and competitive targeted market position.
Leads the development of toolsand processes to deliver and administer global compensation programs;monitors effectiveness and compliance with global policies and standards.
Ensures development anddelivery of compensation program communications; ensures delivery ofcompensation training across the human resources function globally.
Manages internal and externalvendors including contract management and analysis of performance metrics.
Ensures the accuracy and completenessof compensation strategies, policies and process documentation.
Establishes and manages theoperating plan for the compensation strategies; plans for technologyinvestments.
Develops and monitors keyperformance indicators to measure the effectiveness of compensationstrategies, programs, policies and their application; monitors compliancewith corporate governance requirements.
Leads initiatives focused onachieving performance excellence in compensation design and delivery.
Coaches and mentors directreports; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmentalneeds; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
Significant experiencerequired, including leadership and budgetary experience.
Provide day to day compensationsupport for Line Human Resources teams across US and Canada.
Maintain library ofprofessional position profiles in order to conduct global job mapping.
Develop and maintain globalprofessional salary grade structures by collaborating with regionalcompensation team members
Compensation Administration – Significant experience and knowledge of compensation systems. Effectively applies knowledge to decisions effecting compensation plan design and the impact of those plans on other areas of the business.
Communication – Significant experience in written and verbal communication and should be capable of communicating effectively to all levels within and outside the company.
Employment Law – Consults at all levels of the organization on issues and decisions that require extensive knowledge of employment laws.
Expatriate Benefits – Has a good understanding and detailed knowledge of all expatriate programs. Experience in designing expatriate programs or strategies. Ability to perform and communicate expatriate strategy.
Finance Internal Controls – Understands the importance of finance internal controls, capable of identifying, evaluating and documenting internal controls. Understands the underlying principles, techniques, and procedures of this skill.
Organizational Change Management – Experienced in applying Change Management Principles to organizational initiatives.
Taxation of Employee Compensation and Benefits – Has an advanced level of knowledge and proficiency in applying the principles of the taxation of employee compensation and benefits.
Project Management – Capable of effectively managing complex projects with little to no guidance.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience . Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
